Aloe Vera, in its origins, is a natural plant from the north and east of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, places with arid, even desert-like, climatic conditions. However, over the centuries, it was realized that the climatic conditions of the Canary Islands were ideal for the cultivation of this plant, and it was introduced, and its cultivation became naturalized on all the islands.

And it is that, according to various scientific studies, both its beneficial properties, as well as its composition and characteristics, can be altered by the factors surrounding its cultivation.

And this is where the climate, the soil, the treatments after harvest, or the processing to which the plant is subjected in the Canary Islands play a fundamental role.

The volcanic soil of the archipelago, coupled with our spring-like temperatures almost all year round, the scarce annual rainfall, and the incidence of the Trade Winds, allow for an exceptional development of the internal properties of the plant. In fact, the Canary Islands have become the main region for the cultivation and production of Aloe vera throughout the European Union.
